Sexual Violence Awareness Week takes place during the third week of September each year.

The week is an opportunity for the community to come together to raise awareness of the impact sexual violence has on our communities and on our workplaces.
We all have a role to play in listening to, believing, and supporting people who have experienced sexual violence. Sexual violence is pervasive, but it’s not inevitable if we speak out and take action.
If you or someone you know needs support, reach out for support. The Newfoundland & Labrador Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Centre provides help and resources for support including
our 24-Hour Support and Information Line 1-800-726-2743.
