The SafetyNet Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Research is a community alliance for multidisciplinary research, knowledge exchange and capacity development in occupational health and safety (OHS), based at Memorial University. They are currently conducting research on worker health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
SafetyNet is inviting NAPE members to take part in the study. Participants will be asked to complete up to three anonymous, online surveys over the course of the next 12 months (May 2022, November 2022 and April 2023). The purpose is to learn more about their workplace’s pandemic-specific policies and practices that have been implemented to protect them from exposure to COVID-19, what their current working environments look like during the pandemic and how this is affecting their overall physical and mental health. The research will not only focus on the initial responses, but also the return-to-worksite processes and the effects on physical and mental health.
The first questionnaire (linked below) will take only about 20-25 minutes of your time, and the subsequent questionnaires (November 2022 and April 2023) will take approximately 10-15 minutes of your time each. Participants may enter a gift card prize draw for each survey.
Your responses will provide much needed insights into the factors affecting workers’ physical and mental health during both remote work and standard work arrangements throughout the pandemic.
You can access the first survey by clicking on the following link. The deadline to complete the survey is June 17, 2022.
