The NAPE Education Committee is offering bursaries to NAPE members (twice per year):
Two (2) – $500 bursaries
Four (4) – $300 bursaries
Seven (7) – $250 bursaries

CONDITIONS
The purpose of the NAPE Bursary Program is to help NAPE members to upgrade while on the job, to upgrade to retain a job or to train to move from one position to another within NAPE Bargaining Units.
The bursaries are offered THREE TIMES A YEAR (after each semester).
Applications must be filed with the Union on or before:
April 30
August 31
December 31

The successful applicants must provide evidence of attending the program/course they will be using the bursary for.
ELIGIBILITY
The candidate must be a NAPE member in good standing for at least 12 months prior to the application.
Requirements
1 (a) The bursary will not be awarded to an applicant until evidence is made available of the candidate’s successful completion at a publically-funded Canadian university, college or institute. Proof of registration fee(s) must accompany the application form.
(b) Applicants who are eligible to apply for one of the bursaries must have completed the course or semester between January 1st – April 30th or May 1st – August 31st or September 1st – December 31st of the current year
2. All questions on the application form must be answered to qualify for a bursary.
3. If evidence is found that the questions were answered falsely, the application will be considered void. In cases where bursaries have already been received, reimbursement will be required.
4. Successful candidates should be prepared to enter into normal publicity that goes with receiving awards, e.g. The Communicator, Newspapers, Social Media, etc.
5. Applicants are eligible to qualify for one (1) bursary per application date January 1st – April 30th or May 1st – August 31st or September 1st – December 31st, for a maximum of two (2) within a five (5) year period. Then they are eligible to apply again.
