May 8 – 14 is National Nursing Week
This week is a special time to acknowledge the crucial role the nursing team plays in our healthcare system. It is a time to celebrate these amazing healthcare professionals and all they do every single day across our province.
NAPE proudly unites and represents over 3000 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) across Newfoundland and Labrador. NAPE also represents a number of Registered Nurses (RNs) in various professions across our province, such as instructors at CNA.
These incredibly hard-working and compassionate members of the nursing team are a vital part of our healthcare system, providing exceptional care to the people of this province through their training, skill, and unwavering dedication.
Whether it’s in our hospitals and clinics, our vaccination sites/teams, our long-term care facilities, our personal care homes, or in clients’ homes, and just about everywhere in between – wherever healthcare is needed and provided – they’re there.
Our healthcare system works because you do.
