NAPE fully supports inclusive education and the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in our province. NAPE is an ally and will not stand idly by while hateful and hurtful comments threaten the foundation of equity and acceptance in our schools, for our members that work there and for the children that learn there.
Schools should be a safe space. Classrooms should be a place where acceptance, kindness and a celebration of difference is taught. And it is all our job to ensure that we use our voice to stand against hate.
