Labrador Benefit Agreement
be beLabrador Benefits Agreement Update
Following months of negotiations, including a conciliation process with a series of meetings, the multi-union negotiating team for Labrador Benefits and the Provincial Government have reached a tentative agreement on a new Labrador Benefits agreement.
The agreement is subject to ratification by union members, and the voting for NAPE members will start on Wednesday May 14th at noon and close on Friday, May 16th at noon.
The Labrador Benefits team is comprised of representatives from NAPE, NLTA, CUPE, RNUNL, and the RNCA, and these representatives are confident that the proposed agreement includes meaningful improvements for workers in Labrador.
You have the opportunity to ask union servicing representatives about the agreement if you need more clarification.
For this ratification vote, we will be using a phone / online voting system. Your union has used this system numerous times – it is safe, secure, and anonymous. There will be an option to vote online, or if you are unable to vote online you can use a phone in system.
The tentative agreement is here for your consideration. The changes are highlighted in yellow and please take the time to review.
Please review the video below which outlines the changes and details of the Labrador Benefit Agreement. If you have any further questions please reach out to your Membership Servicing Officers.
