Dear public sector member of NAPE,

As you are likely aware, we are scheduled to begin our public sector ratification votes next week.

Due to the state of emergency our office has been closed. We are also dealing with electrical issues in the building relating to the storm.

As you can imagine, we have been inundated with dealing with the state of emergency as it relates to the thousands of NAPE members that have been affected.

Despite all this, our reps have been working around the clock to answer your questions.

Thank you to every single one of you in the affected region who have gone above and beyond to provide care and vital services. This province works because you do.

The vote will begin as per correspondence on January 27th at 9 a.m. and the info will be posted at that time on the NAPE website.

However due to the state of emergency, our office being closed, and a delay in physical mail – a decision has been made to extend the voting window until Friday, January 31 at 4 p.m.

If necessary and as matters relating to the state of emergency unfold, we may have to extend the voting window beyond that time and date. We will advise members as more information becomes available.

If you have not received a voter kit, you can email voterinfo@intelivote.com or call 1-888-281-8683 to speak to a live agent. Please leave a message if the lines are busy or after hours and your call will be returned.

We mailed packages out to those for whom we did not have an email address but due to the state of emergency the mail is being delayed.

We very much appreciate your patience on this matter at this extremely trying time.
