NAPE Hosts Annual Women’s Conference

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) will be putting off its Annual Women’s Conference at the Terra Nova Golf Resort in Port Blandford this weekend (May 31 – June 2). 100 women activists, who are NAPE members from across the province, will be attending this weekend’s conference.

“This weekend’s conference is about bringing women together to educate and share experiences about the issues they face in their workplace and society,” said NAPE President Carol Furlong. “We want NAPE women to be aware, educated, and active and this conference is an important tool in furthering that effort.”

The 2013 NAPE Women’s Conference will feature workshops, guest speakers, and panels covering a wide array of important women’s and labour issues.

NAPE represents over 25,000 public and private sector workers across Newfoundland and Labrador.
