According to NAPE President Carol Furlong, the workers have voted to accept an offer from the employer which meets their objectives and includes a wage increase and enhanced benefits. She said that the employees will resume duties as soon as the plant is ready for production. It was unfortunate that the employer chose to lock out workers for four months instead of making these proposals up front. Furlong stated, “even through this lengthy ordeal, the workers continued to display their loyalty to the products and company they helped make a household name.”
