October 9 to 15 is Medical Device Reprocessing Week.
This is a week to send kudos and celebrate the workers behind the scenes who do invaluable work to keep our hospitals functional. These workers are responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, decontaminating, inspecting, sterilizing, assembling, and packaging thousands of medical devices.
With the focus on reducing the spread of diseases, the proper and safe reprocessing of reusable patient care items, medical and surgical instruments is more important than ever before. Without the instruments and sterilized equipment to perform procedures, patients would not receive the care they need.
Thank you for all that you do!
