May is Speech and Hearing Month
In Canada, 1 in 6 people has a speech, language or hearing disorder and more than 10% of children have challenges with speech, language and communication.
May has been celebrated across North America since 1927 as an annual event that promotes and celebrates the dedicated members of the profession and the impact they make on the health of our country.
NAPE is proud to unite and represent many professionals in this field, including Speech Language Pathology Assistants, Speech Language Pathologists, Audiologists, and Audiology Technicians. Please join us in celebrating these amazing workers for all that they do.
