NAPE President Carol Furlong announced today that NAPE has agreed to the suggestion by the Coalition of Persons With Disabilities (COD) to send all outstanding issues in the strike of the Burin/Marystown Community Training and Employment Board to arbitration.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees has announced that negotiations with Purity Factories Ltd. have broken off.

The Burin-Marystown Community Training and Employment Board employees represented by NAPE and the provincial government are returning to the bargaining table this afternoon under the auspices of a conciliation officer from the Labour Relations Agency.
